e-Audit System

One of the most innovative components of Medina’s audit services package is our web-based software auditing tool that is easily incorporated into a food producer’s operations. A continuous monitoring procedure is a critical part of maintaining a
HACCP or
GMP Certification and insuring you maintain your performance benchmarks. Our system has a wide possible usage and is presently used by airlines, food suppliers, supermarkets, and airport food services.
- The e-Audit System is a web-based software program that allows our client to conduct “virtual” third party audits without having to send an auditor on site, therefore allowing the client to increase audit frequency while controlling the overall cost of managing a QA program. The “virtual” audit will be conducted by the food provider’s own appointed personnel and analyzed by a Medina e-auditor, thereby ensuring continued objectivity; a final report and score will be sent to the client. The “virtual” audit is as thorough as a physical audit encompassing topics such as pest control, time & temperature, food production, food storage, foreign object policy, and equipment & premises.
- Our web-based software program enables management to access and interpret audit results at any time wherever there is an Internet connection; allowing the client continuous access to current and historical data. Our on-line management system uses Statistical Analysis and Observation to identify issues requiring attention.
Each year Medina will develop an audit schedule that will precisely outline the number and timing of periodic internal audits and the timing of an annual validation audit conducted by a Medina Auditor. In determining the audit frequency Medina will take into account the food provider’s level of accreditation (if granted by Medina), the type of food production facility, the volume of production, whether or not the food provider uses any other forms of continuous monitoring and the results of the previous audits.
The following objectives will be satisfied through the completion of the virtual audit for a specific area:
- Adherence to the established procedures.
- The adequacy of systems to provide appropriate, timely and reliable information that may be used as the basis of management decisions.
- Recommend operating improvements and assure that operations are in line with organizational goals.
- Focus on operations and processes.
- Examine issues from an internal perspective.
- Assure that the critical control points are properly recorded and monitored.
- Identify areas that are problematic
- Examine processes and controls as well as operational results.
